A man, dressed up like a woman caught his wife committing adultery , a Divorce Court Judge was told yesterday.
Mr. Justice Victor Crane, after hearing the evidence presented by the husband Mr. Reginald Kirton dissolved his marriage to his wife , Martha Kirton.
The trial judge also granted a decree nisi against her husband on the ground of malicious desertion.
Mrs. Kirton told the Judge that her husband after their marriage in 1939, refused to find employment to maintain her.
Then he left the house one day and she never saw him back again.
But the husband, through his counsel Mr. Joseph Hope, said that he went to work in the interior and on information received, he returned to their Buxton residence one night.
Mr. Kirton said he disguised himself in a woman’s clothing and with two Constables he peeped through a window and saw his wife committing adultery.
The Judge granted him a dissolution of the marriage and ordered the co-respondent to pay $150 damages and the respondent’s cost.
