Construction of the new Integrated Regional Tax Office (IRTO) of the Guyana Revenue Authority, at Onverwagt, West Coast, Berbice is proceeding on schedule.
The IRTO will be a full-service tax office which will allow stakeholders within Region 5 (Mahaica/Berbice) to be able to pay for all tax types such as compliances (land, tender, and liability), issuance of tax refunds, licences, motor vehicle registration, and collection of tax returns.
The IRTO will also open employment opportunities for qualified persons in Region 5 who may want to build careers in taxation.
The doors to the building is expected to be opened to the public by mid to late 2023.
