Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has moved to improve stakeholder engagement with consumers in Region 6 (East Berbice/Corentyne) with the appointment of a Manager of Business Development.for the Region.
The new manager, is Ms Carolyn Sawyer.
Miss Sawyer , recently met with members of the private sector and regional representatives during a stakeholder engagement cocktail reception, hosted by GTT Business Solutions at the Eclipse Banquet Hall, New Amsterdam Among those in attendance were Mayor of New Amsterdam, Her Worship Mrs. Winifred Haywood President of the Upper Corentyne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCCI), Krishnanand Jaichand and Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Business Solutions, Orson Ferguson.
In remarks to the attendees Ms. Sawyer said that her priority will be to implement a business care strategy for the East Berbice area which will allow for swift responses to issues or opportunities that may arise.
She also pledged increased partnerships with the three chambers of commerce and other stakeholders; improved infrastructure to ensure better customer experience ; weekly business to business engagements and increased upskilling of GTT technical staff within the Region to further enhance the quality of the service..
Ms. Sawyer will sit as a member of the three regional chambers of commerce in East Berbice
