More than two dozen pieces of communion silver-ware some of them nearly two hundred years old which have been used at St. Andrew’s Church by various generations have been collected to be put on exhibition at the Chase Manhattan Bank.
The exhibition, mounted as part of the program marking the Church’s 150th anniversary, consists of goblets, trays and pitchers which have been handed down from the Dutch to the Scots Church and then to the Presbyterian Church , through St. Andrews.
It was explained that the items had been with St. Andrew’s for at least 68 years and were being kept by some members of the clergy until someone thought of mounting the exhibition.
