Mr Robert Fraser attended St Alban’s Anglican School in Belladrum : 1961; Victoria High School Belladrum in1965; New Amsterdam School of Nursing (RN) 1969; St Joseph’s College, Brooklyn New York (NY), BSC Health Administration and Community Health 1979.
His professional nursing career spanned five years in Guyana and forty two years in NY.
His career path in Guyana involved managing nursing units/patient care and overseeing and coordinating clinical activities of student nurses.
In New York he practiced nursing in reputable institutions and in clinical and administrative areas.
In his post retirement he continued to be actively involved in the field of health care.
He is a member of the Health and Education Relief Organization for Cancer (HEROC).
He is also involved in an ongoing research on sickle cell anemia in the family with the aim of promoting knowledge and ultimately preventing sickle cell ailment (SCD) in generations yet unborn.
