Dorothy Rollox of Albuoystown yesterday told Mr. Justice Akbar Khan that after being separated from her husband Charles Rollox for 28 years she wanted to get a divorce In order “to meet my L:ord as a single woman.”
“I have lived a pure life since 1941 and now that I am under medical care, I have bought my burial spot, paid for my coffin and my tomb and have made arrangements with my parson for my burial,” the middle-aged domestic added.
Mrs. Rollox who was giving a reason for waiting 28 years before bringing the divorce petition was told by the Judge that everything else was all right but the decree nisi would not be granted until she filed an affidavit stating the reasons for the long delay.
Dorothy and her husband Charles were married on August 2, 1940 but unhappy relations which began in December of the same year grew worse by March 1941 when her husband threw her belongings out of the matrimonial home saying he did not want her anymore.
The middle-aged wife said that all efforts towards reconciliation were rejected.
