(Guyana Graphic April 26, 1968)
Two films:”Coffin for a Sheriff” and another were alleged to have been shown while two boys under the age of 16 years were in the audience at Globe Cinema on Boxing Day 1967.
The films are the subject of a criminal charge against Guyana Cinemas Limited and the manager of Globe Cinema which will be heard on May 3.
The Police are alleging that the Cinematographic Ordinance says that the films should not have been exhibited to persons under the age of 16 unless they were accompanied by an adult.
The two boys had to pay full price to see the double, the Police say.
