Guyanese national Mildred Hall and Brooklyn, NY resident celebrated her 100th birthday on the 22nd November 2022, in Brooklyn, NY. In her honor The Mayor, City of New York presented her a CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION which read as follows:
Ms. Hall was born on November, 22, 1922 in the village of Plaisance, Guyana to parents Charlotte and William Hall. She migrated to the United States of America (USA) in the year 1969.
Ms. Hall was aware of the struggles and eventual opportunities that a new life in the USA would entail.
She never hesitated to help persons in need.
Her apartment in the Flatbush Section of Brooklyn was the first stop for many before moving on to build their new life in the USA.
The late Dr. Maya Angelou wrote, “Your legacy is every life you have ever touched”.
Many came to the USA and succeeded in building for themselves and families as a result of Ms. Hall’s sacrifice and work ethic.
LONG LIVE MILDRED VISCA HALL!
