In less than a year, “Godfather has deposed “Gone with the wind” as North America’s all-time box office film success, the show business weekly Variety reported yesterday.
“The Godfather” starring Marlon Brando and based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel about a Mafia family has grossed $81M USD ($163M GYD )in the U.S and Canada since its release.
“Gone with the wind” for long the top box office success has grossed $77M USD ( $164M GYD) since it was released in 1939.
